Are you Confused with Right and Left Direction? Here are some exercises to get rid of it !

Do you confuse between right and left direction on the road or at gym class? I have experienced this problem myself but never took it seriously. But when I had to go for a road test for my driving license, I realized how important it was and how dangerous it can be to be ignorant about it.

Then, I researched online(just like how you have to land on this page) to see a lot of links on how it can be a big concern (like dyslexia, etc). But, if you are one of those who find it difficult to discriminate between right and left ( confusing only for a few seconds though) but you don't actually have other symptoms of dyslexia, Don't worry! All you need is some simple exercises that helped me get over it.
Right/Left Confusion exercises

You can perform the activities on this blog step-by-step (some will require another person to help you out) and in three days, you’ll get rid of the silly-yet-serious confusion.

Step 1

You need some space before you start this exercise. You need to keep practising all the sub-steps till you can respond to all statements without confusion within 5 seconds. It doesn’t matter even if you have to repeat more than 10 times. For more practice, copy paste on Word and swap Right-Left words .All the Best!

Sub-steps:

A

Place your right hand on top of your head. Place your left hand palm on your right hand elbow. Place you left cheek on your left shoulder. Place your right hand on your mouth. Place your left hand on your right shoulder.Well done! Now, relax your body and go to next sub-step.
B
Open your arms wide and straight ( Titanic pose :P ). Get you right hand inwards and place your right palm on your left chest. Now, place your left palm on your right ear. Now bend your right knee and lean on the ground, with your left leg straight. Place your right palm on the ground and bend your left knee. Straighten your right knee. Now, place your left palm on the ground and straighten both legs. Lie down, relax!
How was it? Please add comments and let me know!
Step 2
The ultimate direction exercise ( I found this exercise most useful, and for those lazy readers who don't want to move their limbs when they read. this exercise is for you!)
Look through the image, start from point A and figure out whether the route is turning left or right with respect to the person on the route till point B. You can try this same exercise with Google Maps too! Again, for BEST RESULTS, You need to keep practising till you can respond to all DIRECTIONS without confusion within 5 seconds.

HOPE THIS BLOG WAS HELPFUL! If you need more exercises and a theoretical approach to this problem please read http://books.google.ca/books/about/Overcoming_left_right_confusion_and_reve.html?id=_Q4UAQAAMAAJ&redir_esc=y
